• Offer low-cost screenings at the Dave Barber Cinematheque.

• Provide low-cost and free filmmaking workshops that create transformative opportunities for youth and underserved communities.

• Offer other non-profit and community organizations low-cost, or even no-cost access to our equipment, facilities, and services through our Community Sponsorship Program.

• Promote Manitoba and Canadian independent filmmakers around the world through our Distribution Department.

• Sustain the Dave Barber Cinematheque as Manitoba's only year-round cinema dedicated to regularly screening Canadian and independent films.

At the Winnipeg Film Group, we strongly believe that cinema and filmmaking is an immensely powerful equalizer within communities. Creativity builds bridges, crosses cultures and life experiences. Access to all art should also be this way, and we need your support!

Supporting the Art of Independent Film

By purchasing tickets in our 50/50 draw, you are contributing to the ongoing existence and vitality of independent film education, production, distribution, and exhibition here in Manitoba. Proceeds will be used for analog equipment repairs and upgrades; Cinematheque special programming initiatives; and WFG operating costs.
