"Passing the hat" across the 2,100 plus-seat Centennial Concert Hall at Manitoba Opera performances has been an important fundraising event that supports our education programming. This fall looks different, and we wanted to recognize this long-standing tradition in a new way, and with an extra incentive for contributors.

Introducing Manitoba Opera's Opening Night 50/50! It’s a win-win!  You support opera in Winnipeg and can potentially walk away with half the pot!

You can help us provide work opportunities for outstanding local artists by purchasing an online raffle ticket. Each ticket gets you closer to the grand prize, and the more you buy, the greater the discount you receive.

Be sure to share the raffle with your friends, family, and colleagues, so that they don’t miss out!

And remember, funds raised will help us to create virtual and in-person operatic experiences featuring Manitoban artists. Help us to change people’s lives through the glory of opera.

The winning ticket will be announced during the live stream of our season-opening concert on November 7, 2020: The Sopranos of Winnipeg. This concert will feature some of the incredible singers that call Winnipeg home: Tracy Dahl, Andriana Chuchman, Monica Huisman, Lara Ciekiewicz, Lara Secord-Haid, Andrea Lett, and Lida Szkwarek.
